For older yogis, the sessions’ structure contains positions (asanas) aligned to the breathing flow. This way they learn how to calm down their central neural system and improve their concentration levels. These are more dynamic sessions in comparison to the ones addressing the 3-6 age group with the aim to trigger the attention of the older kids.
In children over 7 years old, the lesson starts with games based on different types of breathing. Then they learn and develop asanas (positions of yoga) similar to their age with the aim of concentration, muscle strengthening, flexibility, teamwork and neuromuscular coordination. A basic element of each lesson is to practice more demanding asanas so that children have the ability to observe themselves and improve their patience and perseverance. At the end, they enjoy a few minutes of relaxation, having the opportunity to absorb the benefits of the lesson and share what they want.
